What about climbing Indonesia's second highest mountain? Mount Rinjani is an active volcano on the island of Lombok. It rises to 3,726m above sea level. The volcano and spectacular Segara Anak crater lake, are protected by a national park established in 1997. The volcano is believe to be a sacred place; the home of deities. It is a challenging trek but considered to be one of the best in East Asia.
