Located in Davao Oriental, Mount Hamiguitan is a UNSECO World Heritage. At 1,620m above sea level, it is a critical habitat for numerous plants and animals. This mountain has 12 endemic floras and faunas and is home to the endemic Philippine Eagle and Cockatoo. But more than being a habitat, Mount Hamiguitan is known for its Pygmy forest also called the “Bonsai Forest”. It is composed of the century-old trees that are miniature in size that collectively create a unique landscape. Walking among these trees will make any person feel like a giant!
