At 3143m tall,  Mount Fansipan is the tallest mountain in Vietnam. It is located 9km south-west of Sapa Townlet in the Hoang Lien Mountain Range. Fansipan, a rough pronunciation of the local name “Hua Xi Pan” means “the tottery giant rock”.

Itinerary Overview



Private bus to Sapa and stay overnight at a homestay close to the mountain

Sleep: Homestay 


After breakfast, we will drive to Sin Chai Village to commence our Fansipan Trekking.

Pass through village of Hmong ethnic people with beautiful rice paddy fields. Cross forests of pine and bamboo along different streams.

Picnic lunch and then onto 2800m to our camp (sheltered hut) at 2800m.  

Sleep: Hut / Food: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner


Breakfast before undertaking the final ascent to the very top of Mount Fansipan.

Celebrate the victorious moment of reaching the summit of Mount Fansipan - the roof of Indochina. Great views over the valleys of Sapa and Lai Chau. You can even see the high mountains of Yunan Province of China.

Take some time to absorb the fresh crisp air and beautiful views, admiring its thick green forestry landscape.

Commence the descent to 2800m and enjoy a picnic lunch. Continue the trek back down to Tram Ton Pass at 2000m.

Drive back to wash up, have dinner, collect luggage before travelling back to Sapa by private bus.
