Watch the sunrise on the highest mountain and all of North-eastern Asia. Jade Mountain (Yushan) stands an impressive 3952m above sea level. As one of the top 50 most prominent peaks in the world there are awesome views to be had on a clear day. It is an excellent 2 day hike and one not to be missed! The Yushan National Park is home to an extremely diverse range of wildlife, including deer, birds and the elusive Taiwan Black Bear.

4D/3N Itinerary Overview

Pick up from Taipei airport followed by a 4hr drive to hostel close to Tatajia trailhead.

ALISHAN - PAIYUN CABIN (3-5 hours trek, 900m elevation gain)
6HRS (3400M)

Steady uphill walk.

PAIYUN CABIN TO PEAK OF JADE MOUNTAIN (2-3 hours trek, 550m elevation gain)

Reach the peak for sunrise and descend back to the trailhead. Transport back to Taipei.

Drive to Sun Moon Lake for buffet lunch and photos. Overnight at hotel in Taipei (Amba Ximending or similar)

Day 4 - Depart to Singapore
