TREK - Gunung Datuk, Malaysia, 1 Day

Gunung Datuk was named after Dato' Perpatih Nan Sebatang who in 1372 organized a gathering of leaders here to elect the future Dato' Lembaga (Clan Chief). At 884m, Datuk ranks 220 out of Malaysia’s 300 highest mountains and is one of the best treks in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. A great training ground with vertical roots, boulder climbing and ladders. You are rewarded with excellent views and a cooling breeze when you reach the top of the thick jungle. The 12km round trek require you to be in good health and a reasonble fitness level.

Gunung Datuk Trek Itinerary:
  • 05:30 – Pick up from a central location and have breakfast on route
  • 09:30 – Arrive at Datuk Mountain Base for warm up and briefing
  • 09:45 – Start of climb
  • 12:30 – Reach the summit and enjoy lunch (This will be provided)
  • 13:15 – Start descending back to the mountain base
  • 15:30 – Reach the mountain base, relax and clean up at waterfall.
  • 16:30 – Early dinner
  • 18:30 - Head back to Singapore
  • 22:00 – Drop off at a central location
