Trek - G7 Gunung Korbu and Gunung Gayong, Malaysia | #BeyondMountains | 4D3N |August 2020

Gunung Korbu (2183m) and Gunung Gayong (2173m), are located in the Titiwangsa range, about 25km from Ipoh. Korbu is the highest peak in this range, 3m lower than Gunung Tahan. A reasonable level of physical fitness is required to conquer Gunung Korbu, and it is not recommended for first time climbers.

Gayong has a spectacular view from the summit, as you will be able to see Gunung Korbu.

Itinerary:

 

Day 1

Fly to Ipoh, overnight in Guest House near trailhead

 

Day 2

Trek from the traihead at Ulu Kinta Dam to Seroja Campsite 

Camp

 

Day 3

Trek from Seroja campsite to Botak Peak, Cuk Uban Peak, Summit Mt Korbu and then Mt Gayong. Camp at Mt Korbu

Camp

 

Day 4

Trek from Mt Korbu to Botak Peak and then back to Seroja Camp.

 

Day 5

Trek from Seroja Camp to Ulu Kinta Dam.

Option to enjoy a night in a hotel in Ipoh or fly home
