The perfect location to prepare our team heading to Everest Base Camp Expedition. A beautiful location with a rich history and huge potential but unfortunately underutilised, underdeveloped and somewhat neglected. Tucked away deep in a beautiful forest of pine trees, we were surrounded by spectacular mountain views giving us an invigorating and refreshing atmosphere. The trail itself is so raw, so real and so challenging. We look forward to going back for sure.
Message from our Trekkers:
“we saw 2 gibbons on the way up, beautifully gliding on high tops. And Syaz and I saw a snake ... I think it was a copperhead...a tiny thing actually” ~ Gauri
“It was a challenging but rewarding trek for me and I didnt even feel that tired after it. I now feel very confident about EBC as I feel all the training has helped. The forest is enchanting. It motivates you to keep exploring more and more of it. And the path seems so unexploited, feels like you are encroaching on nature in a way by being there.” ~ Asmita
“Pine Tree 🌲 Hill trek is not your typical up up and down down mountain like most mountains in Malaysia 🇲🇾 It will tear you apart, play with your mind, heart & soul that your sanity is put on the line. You made me go over, under, on bended knees, on my limbs on logs just to reach the summit. And there are 2 summits. For those looking for a crazy challenge hike, go for this.” ~ Syaz
And here’s an article written back in 2008 when the place still retained its 1920s heyday. Sadly, the situation is very different now.
