MOUNT KINABALU, BORNEO, MALAYSIA (26 - 29 Oct 2018)

Six amazing trekkers summited Mount Kinabalu Low’s peak last weekend. Although it wasn’t our first Kinabalu trek this year, it was a lovely way to wrap up our regional treks for 2018 with such a meaningful journey for another strong and well prepared team. Here’s 3 reasons why:

1. We were bombarded with the number 4. Although some may say this is not a lucky number, one of our team members June Ho believes we were surrounded by angels. We met at terminal 4 door 4 row 4 our flight AK1794 (Air Asia) departed from Gate G4. We bought chocolates from the local petrol station and it was RM4.40 at 4pm. (Not kidding!)

2. We broke the record of the day with the youngest climber to summit aged 10.

3. Our Chief Guide Jo’s daughter was born the day we summitted. He named her Deevandra देवेंद्र meaning King of gods, Lord Indra.

In addition we had clear blue skies, the most beautiful sunset, sunrise, night sky and a community of caring and loving trekking friends & family back home praying for our safety and successful trek.

We are blessed! Thank you to Mother Earth, the Universe and our collective faith and beliefs. Our prayers were answered.
